actually I know of 2 MSFT employees that seem to do nothing all day but trashtalk about SUNW on the SUNW thread. It is not so hard to trace people. I am sure the SEC would love to hear about MSFT employees doing this on company time and if the company encourages that or not..! ( no to mention the judge..!)

Funny! I went to Rod's profile and dig the same old post. Good detective work!

As I said before, I really do not mind having a contrarian view as long as there is basis for his/her argument. But just to come here and bash, like some of the folks we had in the summer, is a waste of everybody's time.

IMO AOL will probably go down a bit due to profit taking after the split, and then shortly resume its upwards movement. Tis' the right season, and I predict a kick ass earnings report 1st quarter 2000. Betcha the numbers of new subs, ads and e-commerce revenues are going to be mind boggling.

John

Actually to be fair I had major reliability problems when I upgraded to NS Communicator 4.6.1 (liked to crash). Problems seemed to go away when I just recently upgraded again to 4.7. I thought that maybe it was a bad installation, but I have 2 friends who had similar problems with 4.6.

PS: It is no secret that during the browser wars that certain companies were not above creating incompatibilities with their competitors browser. That is why most responsible Web page creators checked their work with current copies of both IE and NS. In any case I am curious why someone would think this whole topic is particularly relevant to this group of investors...
