I have a pretty good track record of averaging down and getting out unscathed eventually - unfortunately most of my break-evens turn out to be lost opportunities when they keep running. Like Apple - bought at 40, doubled-down @16 and exited on a spike to 28 to break even. Now it's 90 so how smart am I? Meanwhile, I've been averaging down on brk.b and now have it under 1900. Time will tell and I don't think WEB is obsolete yet, even if he won't buy an internet stock. In fact, I think if he did I might sell. I like it better this way, despite what my wife says.
