It was 40 feet high, Gaugie, and would have been 50 when finished.

The Aggies are supposed to be good engineers, and they build this thing every year. It was just one terrible accident.

Besides, we already chewed over all the idiot things we did at that age. It's not like this logpile is all that different.

Yes indeed. Remember the deaths from frat house hell weeks and the deaths from drinking challenges in the not to distant past. I guess it shouldn't be surprising when you figure colleges are where you will find teenagers with the most drive and ambition to out do others of their age and set new records. Not just a boy thing either. Lots of hormones flowing without the whoa of knowing limitations that come with age and experience. For good and bad and accidents.
