Thread - I hope no one minds, but I'm going to do a little speculating here.
FACT - Hatim has said that Wi-LAN will vigorously defend his patent position.
FACT - QCOMM and CSCO are known for their heavy-handed business tactics.
FACT - Any possible patent infringement fight will involve tremendous input from Hatim and others prior to the commencement of legal proceedings.
FACT - Wi-LAN and Philips are now in a headlong rush to get those ASICs into production, and into products.
FACT - Wi-LAN now has its own VLSI implementation which must be brought to fruition.
FACT - Wi-LAN would likely be tying up the proposal to Tele2 UK right now, possibly with projections on new WOFDM transceivers, and projected price points.
FACT - The 3G/ITU/MCDSSS IPR issue is also be on the front burner, because the final round of voting is going on now in the ITU.

so...

SPECULATION - I'm speculating Hatim's a little busy right now.<gg>

Best to all, Jim
