TexasDude,

But the smart money obviously liked the warrants since they held steady with high volume. Given recent volumes there, they probably expected this action to take place.

Also, on days when the market is moving up across the board, LGND generally doesn't do well. At least that is what it looks like to me.

I'm half expecting Ligand to announce an acquisition soon.

What intrigues me is that even in the face of poor stock performance, Ligand appears quite aggressive. Moreover, Ontak didn't do too badly and I'm still expecting more to emerge from the Seragen acquisition.

And then there's Targretin. I'm waiting to hear more about test results in cancer patients. One reason we have not heard yet could be publication related.

Also, isn't it on December 12 that Ligand meets with the FDA? Is it coincidence that the early exercise option has such a short fuse that ends the day after this meeting? I'm going to be out of the country on December 13 so I probably won't get it in real time. But I'm *really* curious to see if there will be a major announcement at 5:01 pm EST on December 13.....

Cheers, Torben
