Do you really believe that Microsoft wrote a better version of Java for their OS? Please don't head in that direction John. I'm afraid that you're be bringing a knife to a gun fight.

Sun played their hand in court because Microsoft violated the licensing agreement. Purely legal. It is no different than Microsoft bringing suit against OEMs who violate MS's licensing agreements. That's the beauty of the law John, it attempts to treat all parties equally, with one, stable set of rules.

BTW, have you ever done anything in Java other than stir in some cream and sugar? I'd love to know.
