Nah. Gemstar was profitable long before Yahoo. :) As for the next-generation versions of IPGs, they are vaporware. That's why they're called "next generation."

I don't suppose you really believe Thomson, NBC, Microsoft and others really invested in vaporware, do you? Seriously, the least time-consuming way to get an idea about whether or not the software is out there is to peruse advertisements by Circuit City. Their ads for higher-end TVs mention specific EPGs.
