''NorthPoint DSL delivers the speed and the services that will help Kansas City businesses and residents herald in the brand-new age of broadband communications.'' NorthPoint will continue to extend its footprint to more subscribers through 2000. As the ''heart of the Midwest,'' Kansas City adds to NorthPoint's already expansive presence in the region. NorthPoint is available in 32 major U.S. markets, including Columbus, Detroit, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, St. Louis. To further its presence in Kansas, NorthPoint has also announced plans to deliver service to Wichita. NorthPoint, a wholesale service provider, has alliances with over 200 local, regional and national ISPs and other service provider partners to deliver DSL service to subscribers. Subscribers in Kansas City can obtain NorthPoint DSL from local provider Birch Telecom and national providers like Flashcom, Global Crossing, Phoenix Networks, PSN.net and Verio. Service will be available by the end of 1999. NorthPoint DSL provides fractional T-1 speeds at a fraction of the cost, delivers superior network performance, and is easier to configure than ISDN.
