Hi Howard..... Your could be right with your sweeping and generalized comment regarding having nothing to report; However I don't think IBM, SAIC, SUN, ORACLE, and their many other partners..... are going to close up shop..... and go home ":-)]]]

Have a nice weekend and if ya drop in for a dunkin donut..... go upstairs and ask then.

Who's been around long enough (it wasn't that long ago) to remember when they announced they were starting work on developing version 2.o of Dr. Bean. A few weeks later...there it was.

I wonder how far along this is?

David

Howard, Yes in general, it is a big deal. Consider the issue of labor in e commerce support. I own a call center so trust me here. This could and SHOULD be big for Sideware. Equipment and software are sunk costs to me. But labor to support the site is a never ending story. Dr. Bean's best feature is that it lets one operator handle 4 simultaneous customers. That cuts your need to get good operators, the operator labor, taxes vacation, sick leave and other benefits to 1/4th. And the toughest part is not the money, it is getting good operators and keeping them! People need to grow and change to thrive.

Now as a business owner would I like to have an "intelligent agent" software package that can cut it to 1/10th and still do a consistent good job 24x7? Yes Sir!

Machines resulted in revolutionary productivity boosts starting 100 years ago in many businesses. Getting intelligence into our Information Transfer process is our current technology productivity boost keystone. It is that big of a deal.
