Actually, they did this twice. The first was mentioned in a December press release, and the second (last May) was mentioned only in the 2Q99 sec report.

3.6M left is terribly thin, quite ILL-liquid -- and after this exercise I would be most uncomfortable holding them. Gambling is not in my blood ...

I wonder if everyone holding them has the $6/share needed for converting them. Those who don't -- or who don't want to convert -- are likely to be trading them soon.

I didn't know that!

However, the bulk of Ligand's website is actually the annual report, page for page, word for word. And in the web format, you can find things using <Find> and searches -- so it's more convenient.
