Question for the board:

Carly Fiorina stated that DELL is now selling 30% of revenues through channel partners (i.e. resellers), and implied that this number is growing. Here's a link:

Can anyone verify or refute this number?

I realize that Ms. Fiorina is a biased source, and I'll certainly try to speak with a DELL rep, but I'd also like the opinion of the thread.

Hi Rudy,..Re:. hit DELL harder than the other vendors, that the numbers have reflected that

Considering the following, I'd say you're right. <g> Plus the following remarks from the Q report. Plus, the only thing I saw that HWP referred to were component shortages from the Taiwan earthquake, presumably LCD panels.

As the company announced on Oct. 18, third-quarter results were negatively affected by a higher-than-expected cost increase late in the quarter for random-access memory used in Dell products.

Dell 0.18 0.18 Oct. 31
HWP 0.73 0.75 Oct. 31
IBM 0.93 0.93 Sept. 30

CPQ 0.05 0.08 Sept. 30

Guess IBM shouldn't have been included but they got mashed because of the negative tilt to the conference call. <g>
