Crude average for Nov is now above $24 at $24.09 oilworld.com Sept at $23.72 had been the high month for the year. One has to wonder what higher crude prices 4th qtr will do for the bottom lines of recent turnarounds like VPI (43 cents/share 3rd qtr) or OEI (17 cents/share 3rd qtr). VPI has already marched up to $13/share, up considerably from its yearly low of $4.06/share, and OEI likewise is up from its yearly low of $3.81 to $9 1/8. $25+/barrel oil prompts the oil patch axiom, if you don't own an oil well, get one.
