LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 19, 1999--LA Internet, Inc., a
wholly owned subsidiary of Internet Business's International, Inc.
(OTCBB:IBUI)(www.ibui.net), today announced that beginning Wednesday,
Nov. 24, and continuing through Dec. 31, 1999, a new, Internet-ready,
personal computer will be given away to each new customer ordering 36
months of the company's Internet service.
Unlike similar promotions by Microsoft's MSN, and America
Online's CompuServe division, the LA Internet offer does not involve a
cash rebate. Instead, upon ordering, a new personal computer will be
shipped to the customer, pre-configured for logon to the company's
Internet service, and specially tuned for Web surfing. Delivery will
normally take 3 to 5 days, however, overnight delivery will be offered
as an extra cost premium.
Said IBUI CEO, Albert Reda, "We wanted to appeal to the need for
instant gratification. Having a brand new, totally configured computer
arrive as soon as the very next day is better than getting a rebate
check in the mail weeks after the fact."
LA Internet, headquartered in West Los Angeles, serves the nation
through a system of over 700 local "points of presence" located
throughout the country. It's estimated that access to LA Internet's
services is within local call distance of over 72 percent of the
nation's households.
"We expect that this unique offer will help propel LA Internet
into the front ranks of Internet Service Providers in the country,"
continued Reda, "and we've worked hard to put this together in time
for the holiday shopping season. Our 'all-in-one' computer and
Internet service solution was designed to be the perfect gift."
LA Internet, founded in 1994, was one of the first Internet
Service Providers in Southern California and one of the first in the
country to offer commercial Web hosting. Complete details of the free
computer offer will be posted on the company's Web site located at
www.lainet.com. LA Internet may be reached toll free at 888/374-2844.
