The FCC ruling does not undermine cable anymore than TRRA undermines AOL, it is increased competition for the RBOC's.
It makes the non-regional DSL providers
competitive with the local DSL service.

i hope we will see another split in Feb 2000. but the only way for this to happen is to see AOL split around 75 to 80 next week and rocket back to 140+ by January's earning report. AOL would need a BIG announcement for that to happen. the Nasdaq is already stretched short term....
