Any comment on the status of the VIX(CBOE Volatility Index)? Wally, as I said in one of my earlier posts, I like to be aware of the status of the VIX index, especially for trading purposes. It is now very overbought and a reversal would imply at least a short-term Top is in place. But VIX adds little value as a stand alone indicator so it is just one factor of many in determining my market view. As a general proposition though, if it is being talked about on the MDA thread, it is being rendered impotent as anything useful to the rest of us. A
