Hmm any other guesses for an IATV close, today will be quite a finish either up or down, I would have to suspect up, but then again it's IATV... one never knows for sure... mostly when Insiders trade the way they do.

(BEAR): Well Let's just say I like it!

Try thinking about it like this....

All the excitement around LBRT and OpenTV are focusing attention on the
interactive/tv/convergence business. This sector is poised to rock like the internet sector did
starting 3 years back. We are JUST STARTING. Awearness is as yet dim but growing rapidly.
Don;t forget to throw in TVGuide as well. Some suggest the numbers here could even be bigger
than the net because of the pervasive presence of ad $$ in broadcast and the benefits to defining
and enhancing and individualizing those ad messages in a fragmenting world. ACTV has a 1.3bb
market cap...nothing against the potential market size.

Now as to competition.
First, our interactive software is being shipped NOW in GIC, SFA and Pioneer settops. LBRT and
OpenTV are NOWHERE in the US (could ewvolve like GSM vs TDMA/CDMA in cellular). The next
generation settops starting to ship have our convergence software inside as well. We are
integrated with TV Guide and Headend in the Sky (HITS). I actually believe the TVG/GMST interface
could be the operating system in this country with NO need for LBRT or OPTV here. This
integration gives uas the ability to address virtually the entire digital set top ,arket (6mm and
growing rapidly) from day ONE without ANY additional headache by the cable ops. Check the
news...we are going into test with Liberty Digital, Showtime and the Box soon. Fox Sports sill llurks
somewhere out there. Liberty Digital has shares and warrants worth today(if all exercised) about
$300million, BIG even for them. They invested about $5mm in OPTV.
Wink is different and has a niche application. Not a problem. WGAT is about surfing the internet on
your TV. NOT what we're about(enhancing content)
Patents? We have them. So do others. Can't say how defensible but I know Liberty has bet a lot on
us and that Tom Wolzein sold a critical patent to ACTV to complete the picture. We're also
integrated with, as I said, TVGuide and their new parent is a tenacious defender of intellectual
property.
Ive probably left out a bundle. Others feel free to add.
Final point- there are NO sure things but for now this looks GREAT.
