Stumbled onto a Citi f/i banner for the first time on Mapquest's site, and loaded it up (took maybe 3-4 minutes to come up). Here's the link:

citibank.com

Try clicking the so-called "links" down the left-hand side -- is this totally cheesy, or is it me? No demos, links that go nowhere, and a TON of complicated footnotes and disclosures at the bottom. Also, got this error message when trying to go "back" with my browser...

lite.citifi.com

Now THAT's the kind of comforting message I'd like to receive from the biggest bank on the planet...<g>

I repeat: this is not a credit card product.

The electronic wallet will use the same system as bill paying but will reduce the cost significantly to the merchant or the sender of the money. Another application and potential jv partner will be the major auction site. A low cost way to settle auction or E-Commerce transactions. This will replace the credit card in many transactions.

Many companies are working on this product but do not have the point of connections like CKFR. In my opinion this product will be close to bill payment/presentment in importance to CKFR. Another leg to the story.
