bargainman, I looked at it differently... he started with "internet bubble" so the thinking goes to the saying all bubbles have exploded... but at the end, he said, it all depends on what you belive the internet will be ... or something to that meaning... he, did not venture an opinion of what he thinks the internet will be (non-committal) ... he also left the issue of what will be of the internet to the reader... so, if the internet "bubble" is ruptured... he can always claim "I wrote in my article about that..." and on the other side, if it keeps growing, he can also claim "well, everyone knew that the internet is where the future is..." in my mind, the author added nothing... he most likely felt compelled to write something about CMGI and it's internet holdings because it's making big news... like you said, does not amount to a hill of beans... (allow me to rephrase that) does not amount to an echelon of squat.. best regards amein
