Paterno comments from Thurs. Night(from BWI):

"We're second or third in the Big Ten in offense, so we are all right," Paterno said. "It's not like we are a bunch of dogs out there."

He added that it is tough to establish a running game with two backs and "we have to get better. If we could run better inside, then we would be able to do better outside. We have got to do that and then we will be more successful."

On Derek Fox's coverage:

"This morning in our meeting, one of the guys said that Derek is being
criticized for getting beat," Paterno said. "Nobody in the world could
have made those plays, there was a blitz on, he was out there all by
himself. Nobody in the world could have handled it. It's not fair. If
anyone is to blame, it would be me and people can question why we
blitzed in that situation, but not Derek."

Lowering Expectations:

Paterno said that his team is really hurting.

"Lousy," Paterno said when asked about the health of the team. "We are
really hurting amd it's going to take a courageous effort on the part of our kids to pull this one off. This may be the most we have been hurt in a big game for a long time."

--------Looks like a victory for PSU this time......??????
