Jay, I realize there is degradation with DSL but it isn't as severe as the degradation I was getting with cable modem. Also, NYC, surprisingly, is slow to migrate to two way cable modem. Most locations in NYC only have one way cable modem, which is an inferior product requiring an analog phone modem and a dedicated telephone line.

Your cable modem speed of up to 2.4 megabits/sec. is phenomenal. I wish I had that kind of speed. Where are you located? How often do you get those speeds? What's your average speed? What do you pay for it?
