I always keep two copies of my browser (Netscape) open. One in SI and one in something else like CNN or whatever. Every time I pull up an SI page, then go over to the other window, when the SI page loads, it always becomes my default window (pops to front)!

KS, I see this all the time (and don't like it - it's rude and inconsiderate site design, to think your page should always vault to the top). That it happens is completely under SI's control, likely based on how the javascript in each page handles the page formatting and refresh. I don't think there's any way for a user prevent it. Very few other sites do this (Fidelity's login/authentication screen is an exception, but there's some justification there).

Another thing I'd wish SI would change would be that the default when you click on a URL in a message should be to open another window (as Yahoo does), not to replace your current window. At least this should be a user settable preference.

Anyone else want to complain about these stupid...um, I mean, make these suggestions to SI? Do we contact the webmistress, SI Bob, or someone else entirely?

html-ly,
-Rose-
