Bruce--such a lovely baritone "Nicht!" My hunch is that options discussions will ebb and flow given certain conditions. Those discussions never really overwhelmed the MSFT board for instance, or even currently the QCOM board, but they are always interesting. Content is obviously the most important issue, and I hope if we keep it in perspectives we can also gain knowledge about options.

I hope taxman posts here, too! He has some useful options perspectives.

Jill

For what little it's worth, I second Bruce's "no" vote. Even though I am increasingly interested in LEAPS, and may begin to dabble in them soon, I think options and trading strategies are different enough from the usual discussion topics around here that they should be contained in a separate thread. I mean, I like the de facto subject matter distinction between this and the other thread, not because it is necessarily intellectually defensible but because it divides up what would otherwise be a ton of posts into manageable (well, almost) bites. A separate GKG (Gorilla, King & Godzilla) options/trading thread would spur and concentrate discussion on those topics without diluting the discussions on the other two threads...

BB: my bathtub baritone makes it at least two votes against discussion of trading strategies for essentially the reasons you cover. best regards, red jinn
