Rande -

I am new to SI and in the few weeks I have been here (lurking) have learned an awful lot from your thread. I suppose even in this day and age, a person still feels compelled sometimes to defend their honor, and that's what your latest missive is about. Nevertheless, I can't imagine you to have a deceptive bone in your body and that is why I plan to hang around here and hopefully find a way to contribute. Thanks for your insights!

Dan

Rande,

I am not going to go on forever..I will address the issues you have raised, and be gone.

1. I am familiar with everything that happens on this board.
I read all the posts.

2. Your long portfolios were called mythical because I believe that you didn't put REAL money into these picks. I did not question YOUR character. How am I losing it?

3.You never answered MY question. Did YOU look at OMKT's options before making your short call?

4. I just reviewed my last post, and do not recall questioning your character, just asking for a mature justification of a position you stated. I viewed it as somewhat careless.

5.Research and family? I have a family and run a successful business. I also spend many hours online each and every day doing research.

6. Why won't I start my own thread? Because I have enough REAL money to invest during my days, that I do not have the time to waste posting endlessly to SI.

7. You seem to try and make yourself out as a martyr. I questioned a post. Not you, your character, or your intentions. I also did not accuse you of pumping and dumping. You chose to turn my question into an opportunity to tout yourself, your site, and character once again.

8. I truly wish you the best of luck in everything you pursue in life. I WILL continue to read the HOME thread, but will no longer post. This thread has quality information that I enjoy reading. The tone you have taken with me was harsh, and perhaps better pointed elsewhere.

Jason W

PS- Believe it or not, I held your character in the highest regard prior to today. It is a shame that a simple questioning of a short call would cause such a fallout.

Thank you, Rande. Your post was far more than a rebuke; it was personal, thoughtful, and generally beneficial to all of us (contributors and lurkers alike).

That said, I love OMKT! I originally bought under $12 and have since sold about 2/3 to fund other issues. The remaining third is a LT hold.

FWIW, here are a couple others I like right now:

XRX: name brand, beaten down, low P/E, great chart. I started buying a few days ago under $27.

RSAS: market leader, growth industry, low P/E, 45-degree chart. Buy on any pullback. My initial positions were at $16 & $18. Strong enough fundamentally and technically to hit $100 in 2-6 months.

TOY: name brand, "clicks & mortar," new website, good double-bottoming formation. I started buying at $14. Also bought MAT at $12 1/2 but already sold 2/3.

IBM: name brand, etc. Bought more for my mother's acct @ $94 and again yesterday @ $96. Perfect right now for core additions, widows & orphan accts, anybody.

Ditto for MSFT right now.

COMS: long since $32, sold 1/3 at $40, will buy more if it pulls back to $37-38 or will sell another 1/3 at $48-50. Will hold at least 1/3 through Palm IPO.

PASA: chart play only, plus I see the LA ads all the time.

Contrarian/Hedge: XON and AEM. AEM is an incredibly conservative, well-run company and the stock is very tradable.

I also have spec positions in HSAC, NATS, PNLK, ECHO, VDIM, DRTN, SDAS, VIAD, DTLK, RTHM, and others but I'm always looking for more!

Thanks again for your recommendations and research--MK--
