Fwiw, they made a huge deal out of this Hormel situation in the media in SF - which of course you would expect, however the SF stations are pretty far-reaching, and there are 7mm people in the bay area alone. If I were a conservative, I would choose my battles more wisely than this... there is no excuse for discriminating against somebody based solely on sexual orientation and anybody who has ever hired anybody knows that... a manager can't fire somebody because hes gay, we have moved beyond this everywhere but Washington. I hope it was worth it for them to object to this appointment, because it certainly exposed them as bigots, again.
