RE: PE is meaningless to me with a company in transition or a new one. When I buy a stock I'm buying the promise not what they have done, which is reflected in the trailing PE. That is past, unlike DELL, ORCL is a company that is on the mist of transforming itself, so the current PE means little, where as with DELL they are what they are, until they change what they are now, they have to grow into their PE.

I would venture a guess that many agree with that statement...IMO there are plenty of folks that don't realize DELL is changed...This is the misperception
