Yes, I support his position as reported..... Refresh my memory on the gay ambassadors before Hormel.... No, I would not appoint one purposely in any of the cases.... I would not appoint them to any position that I deemed politically sensitive. Therefore, I would not appoint them to my Cabinet. I might appoint them to sub- cabinet posts.... Yes, I would not appoint a qualified Jewish American to an Arab post... Yes, I would not appoint a qualified Catholic American to Ukraine, for example, because of tensions between Catholic and Orthodox.... Yes, I would not appoint a woman to a post in a country like Afghanistan.... Yes, I would not appoint an African- American to a post in Korea.... I think that on less visible levels, one probably need not contemplate restrictions, but I would not always rule them out.... I cannot recall the GWHB ambassador that you mention. However, I am not as concerned with the reaction of the host country as I am with the current political situation in this country. Perhaps if I did not expect much mobilization to exploit the appointment, by both sides, I would change my mind....

worldview wants(and wishes) to make sodomy a race. it is not...will never be.... How about if an ambassador elect said: "I am a practicing thief...have been since the 70s. And if you appoint me ambassador to (pick a country) I see no reason to change......but you cannot discriminate against me. hey...thats an idea...we can start just saying that thieves are actually just a "race" and drag up a few liars to document it medically so then we can have hate crimes against thieves, and ........well you get the picture....sound familiar?
