I can confirm your point of view, at least as noted across my contact network in the industry. The "stockpiling" has been consequential (I like to be polite). After Christmas, who will the semi makers sell to? I'm expecting a six month buying holiday.

Incidentally, as I noted in an earlier post in reference to Y2K, this same scenario is my expectation in a number of other industries. We are likely going to be able to actually notice the difference in truck traffic on the major highways (Look for a 10% reduction during the tail end of the Winter season) as the need to bring inventories back into shape takes hold.
