Idler, I realize that there are not that many 'anti-trust' attacks. Maybe the pharmaceutical industry doesn't attack each other because they prefer to operate in a commercial environment. It is not at all certain or even likely that Qualcomm will be attacked, but there are so many people champing at the bit to do so that it seems inevitable to me.

Hitler took a small chunk at a time, but he kept on rolling. Everyone thought it was okay when he was going for the other guy. When he comes for you, it's too late.

Do you know where the envelope is to push? That's the objection Thomas Sowell made - there is only a legal mirror house and no definition which one can refer to beforehand to know what is legal and what is not.

I don't know about Prozac, but the similarities between Qualcomm and Microsoft seem similar to me.

But as Thomas Sowell pointed out also, the monopoly can be proven by simply drawing the boundaries around the market tightly enough. Have a read of his article. In Q! case, they have 100% control of the CDMA in mobile market. Nobody else has even an inch of it! ALL must buy from Q! who are damaging consumers by extorquerationate royalties. The damage is proven because consumers give money.

It's a clear cut case for Judge Jackson to break up Q! into a million smithereens and rescue the planet from the Evil Q! empire. No longer will they be able to leverage their disgusting monopoly into other monopolies, reduce competition and enslave consumers of CDMA mobile products. Poor GSM is Toast! How unfair. Funds from Qualcomm should be taken by the Judge and given to the GSM Goosesteppers.
