From Dialpad.com's web site: "You can make free phone calls from your web browsers to any telephone in the US. Now, you don't have to disconnect from the Internet to make a phone call. Just come to dialpad.com and make free unlimited long distance calls."

UTCC specialty is international calling. I have used it and it works...

Since the IP networks create echoes, dialpad.com is mostly good for long distance short conversations. For example I call friends in LA, San Lius Obispo and Texas just to say a quick hello. I have only had had problems during peak times for the following reason:

(cut and paste from their FAQ)
I get the "No channel available" message or busy signal when I make a call.

That means all of the gateway ports are in use. In other words, all lines are in use. You might get that
message during the peak hours (5pm-10pm, Pacific time). We are installing hundreds of lines each day, so it
should be a temporary problem. Toll-free numbers are routed to a special gateway which is underutilzed most
of the time. So the toll-free numbers should work most of the time. We apologize for the inconvenience.
