My guess is that people who suffer from intractible pain frequently are indigent. I mean, they can't work, they take drugs, unless they have a good family support system, they may even be homeless. They may have become involved in criminal acts, like forging prescriptions, because they can't find a doctor who takes their pain seriously. It's a real shame.

Ain't that the case? Too many federal regulations on that. Especially on terminal people. Damn, they sometime suffer horrible pain and what would the consequences be? Addiction? Withdrawl? I never met someone who was dead who complained about addiction or withdrawl. Never saw one rob a 7-11 for drug money either.

Getting the squid. A nurse is pulling my wife's staples and it sounds like it hurts. I have a hook out that would work just fine but the nurse doesn't want to use it.
