Mani - RE: "I don't really understand how big OEM's would want this new AMD design. How are they going to distinguish theirs from the rest. How is HP's will differ from Compaq's?

Big OEM's PC have all a certain look to them with regard to colors and style, I just don't see how they would want this AMD design?"

I don't think box makers are forced to make the same case design. Check out AMD's FAQ - www1.amd.com ; They keep saying "platform" which to me does not mean case.

So for a PC to attain EasyNow! status, it has to meet the platform standards. I guess this means OEMs have to come up with their own case designs if they want their's to be different.

OT - This is interesting -

"Yesterday was November 17th, 1999.
The numerical format for yesterday was 11-17-1999. All of the digits are odd.
The next Odd day will be 11-19-1999. (Tomorrow)
The next Odd day after that will be 1-1-3111 - which is well over a thousand years away, which we will never see.
Days such as 4-13-89 have both even and odd digits, thus, it is neither odd nor even.
The next even day will be 2-2-2000 - the first one since 8-28-888.
So, now you have a reason to celebrate this Friday as it'll be your last odd day on Earth!!!!!!"
