OT - Accounts
I find two accounts works well for me. One is a full account with a broker (SSB) and it hold the bulk of my portfolio. The second is a cheap online account (Scottsdale) with an IRA. I do hunches and point scalping and covered calls in this account. I don't have to explain them to the broker and I don't have to worry too much about tax consequences for short term trades. It satisfies my need to do something on active days without tempting me to churn my main account.
TP (I also have misc. 401K and deferred compensation accounts that I pretty much ignore day to day)
