Brian.

I'm not monu, but I think it was addreses to me...?

I think if you read the entire gospels you will see that each of the disciples were addressing DIFFERENT people. Different people have different spiritual needs/ways they can come to believe. Some were told CORRECTLY that all are welcome in the house of the Lord, while others were told CORRECTLY that some will not be able to go straight in (ie. they will have a struggle and some will falter). Yet some others were told continueing to cry and weep as they do as JEWS they would not gain admittance. I do not see a conflict as you would like to impart upon these scriptural texts (Matt7:7; Luke 13:24; Hebrews 12:17)

ps. personally, being originally not a Jew I believe the "seek and ye shall find" applies to me.

pps. and NO I do NOT say this applies to every man on earth throughout all ages... I say it applies to all man since Christ. The Jews had their Covenant with God... it is no longer... can you say "where's the arc?" :)
