Re: Dial Data Problems

Attached is a ProTA Gold application that addresses the recent changes in
Dial Data's IP addressing. I've re-written the guts of the downloader to
better address these and future changes. I'm not partcularly happy with
the way Track Data lays these changes on me (us), but let's find the
silver lining -- there is some good news coming out of this re-write --
the TGE TCP Tool is no longer necessary! All TCP communications are
handled directly between ProTA and the MacOS (OpenTransport) -- just like
all well-behaved Mac applications should. I've wanted to say that for a
long time now.

Please download the attached, unstuff it and you'll be left with "ProTA
Gold 1.01dd". Place this application right next to your current ProTA
Gold program icon. Double-click it and try a Dial Data session. Once
you're happy with 1.01dd, you can trash your older ProTA Gold 1.01a icon.

If possible, please get back to me with your success story or lack
thereof by replying to support@beesoft.net. I haven't publicly posted
this revision at the web site yet as I am waiting for more positive
confirmations.

Thanks for your patience.

Jeff
