<<Serious smerious.>>
I have a Phd in Flippancy.

<<Let the world spin. Are you holding ATHM?>>
I have been holding ATHM since I bought embarrassingly high a few months ago. This is the only "dot com" stock that I own. Most of my portfolio is exceedingly boring; bonds and mutual funds. Since the market is outrageously overpriced I have been shifting to bonds. I bought into the pipe dream of cable, and I still believe in it, so I'll wait it out to see. The innocent longs will have their day.

<<Aren't you happy?>>
If you mean a bubbly optimistic feel-good personality, no. Sarcastically blissful, yes. "Have a nice day", no. Lampshade on head, yes.

<<What does it take?

AOL irrationality?>>
AOL has shown the power of the internet, but ATHM has manifest destiny. The future of the internet is in scalable networks. Without them you are dead. It's like MOSFET versus BJT. All cool applications will shift to the fastest network and what will happen to AOL then? TJ, Armstrong, Bell, and others have a target in their head with AOL's picture on it. ATHM will blow them away. The whole market is irrational. No way profits can support these levels. More like a bootstrap operation.
