James F. Hopkins: Take a good look at that and you will see that value stocks peaked WAY back in April 98 and have not ever made a come back, the NAZ DOW and S&P have been going up on fewer and fewer stocks and the speculative effect in the tech sector..

I have been pointing this out for months. Take a look at my OMC and VGY combination chart on my Road Kill Chart page.

Regards,
LG

One can also look at the S&P indices for Growth (SGX) and Value (SVX). quote.yahoo.com With the next round of tax-loss selling probably approaching, it doesn't look good for Value. Plus, many of the lows list have fundamental problems and are likely to have downward earnings revisions and warnings. The NYSE new lows have been expanding and the OTC new lows have stopped contracting.

Growth is into new highs and looks like the NDX chart

Value is lagging and looks like the Value Line Geometric chart

Jim, funny enough, Value Line was also my first stock market specific source of information way back when...

So much so that there is no way even a 10th of them can ever
make enough money to justify their price. ( there isn't that much
money in the world ).>>

why not? easy Al's gonna print it.....<ggg>

seriously: market cap (total) vs. money stock is at an all time high, so the majority of listed stocks requires selling to free up the funds for the speculative high-flyers.
