We are liable to see that what competition could not do to MSFT, the US court system will. It would appear to me that in the short term investors will anticipate positive results from spin offs and MSFT will meander upwards. In the final analysis, I question whether MSFT spin offs add similar value as did the baby bell spin offs from T... Whereas, the baby bells represented infrastructure, "baby bills" predominantly offer intellectual property. This value may be difficult to measure separate from MSFT....
