2MAR$: Found it interesting in the article you posted that the fellow says, self installs, coming in about 6 months, where I live (canada) we have self installs already. Practically every shop you walk into to buy a computer has a booth right there where you can call or pick up your self install stuff. Also, our local video stores, owned by the cable company, have self install service booths that are very handy. Personally, when I purchased my computer a year ago I had to wait a month for my installation, now it is instant!! I will add that I dont know anyone here who is not on cable!! LOL. Granted the Canadian market is small, but cable has a very strong foothold here. Also, price is a reflection here as well, by the time you figure out your discounts that our@HOME provider gives us, your actual cost of cable comes very close to the cost of a dial up service. We receive discounts on cell phone rates, movie rentals, cable TV rate discounts, magazine subscription discounts, etc. Just adding my thoughts :))
