Excellent, excellent. Definitely publishable, IMO. First rate. I wish I knew someone to send it to. Think I'll call in whatever chip I have with Nancy Collins (Sunglasses After Dark), who used to babysit Ben back in New Orleans, and ask her for suggestions on how to flog it.

One small, tiny, teeny quibble: I wish you hadn't nick-named the bad guys "pussies." I know you hate cats . . . . but the image of ugly smelly mollusks called pussies, um, well, say no more.<g>
