rande- I think china may get another run with wto meeting in seattle 11-30-12-3 . The dog companies wont run, but some of the quality companies may be sought out, I still like low float play chdx, projected to earn $3 next year, been there for 18 years, $22 book value, closed about $25, I look for another pop in this one, also, Herb Greenberg was talking on tscm tv show about sify being next aol of india but got cut off due to time, someone here was playing sify, also bought iiji back under $60 because morgan stanley was pounding the table on it, I think there will be a rotation looking for leading internet plays in europe and asia as they start to catch up to US in internet use, there is a lot of upside in identifying these "foreign leaders"
sify and iiji are the two i have identified, what are your thoughts?
thanks

Rande: If you have some ideas send them along and I will pass them through TA to see if I get any reads. I was able to spot OLB about 1-2 days early via AMTD.... likely need to be beaten down a little...

Could be in some recent IPO? maybe Kaliico might have a view on these?
I am in VUSA already and some COOL... BYND looked good Friday, I tried but couldn't act in time...

BAMM sending a strong signal in 60 minute, with support daily
GRIN sending a positive one in 60 minute, also with some daily support
Seeing some activity in NAVR also (a big runner last year two nice candlesticks; daily doji, end of day 60 min doji (Well worth watching!)
SHRP already moving daily but putting in a positive 60 minute.

KTEL, GERN not offering much.

Rande: another thought might be to attack large short positions and attempt to clean them out by hitting the stops.... if people are out then they will need to protect manually leaving them vulnerable?...E*XMAS have large short positions as of a month ago... will be taking a look...

One possibility for the next big thing might be ERPs. There are rumors of consolidation in the industry, rumors that IBM is looking to take one out and anticipation that Y2K spending will be diverted to this sector after the new year.

Although I have not taken a position in one yet. Here is a list of ERPs:

First Tier:
SAP
PSFT
ORCL
BAANF
JDEC

Second Tier:
GPSI
AREM
ACRI
INFM
SYMX
MAPX
ROSS
QADI

Right now, my favorites in order are BAANF, JDEC, PSFT, AREM and ROSS
