Bull, Weather & Economic Activity

Kindly allow me to rephrase - weather is not as important as economic activity. Would you buy - "less relevant?

Actually I think they're both equally relevant, because weather tends to heavily impact overall demand, especially in winter. Of the two indicators, weather tends to lead, and demand tends to lag. IMO, weather can cause prices to either spike or plunge over the short term time horizon, but economic activity has more of an impact over the long term time horizon. That's why I often time my trades of E&P & OSX stocks around short-term weather patterns (e.g., unexpected blizzards). Having said that, however, I would have to add that supply is equally important as well, and that's the biggest wild card, because supply often has more to do with OPEC resolve than purely economic factors.

Regarding the links that I gave to Mike from La, I didn't save them, but I can look them up again. I have a master link called "Newspapers" that I used to drill down for the Middle Eastern countries. That's how I found them in the first place.
