What seems to you to be ironic about it, JLA? Why shouldn't I be used to being called names like "demented" by people like Nulldog?

My views on abortion are guaranteed to tick almost everyone off. As I've posted, repeatedly, I don't believe in abortion, myself, but I would never try to stop someone from having an early abortion, before quickening. I am morally opposed to having an abortion, myself, but, thank goodness, I don't have to worry about that, as I am 47 years old, and my husband has had a vasectomy. I don't believe that women should have abortions after quickening, except for medical necessity. So that means I am not 100% in favor of abortion, and not 100% opposed.

These kids, like Nulldog, need to set up straw men to shoot down, and I make a convenient straw man, because I am not afraid to admit that I would never try to stop a woman having an abortion if it were medically necessary, and I would leave the decision to her and her doctor. In his mind, that makes me a murderer. So be it.

I don't mind pointing out, if a woman uses the birth control pill, that may prevent ovulation, but if a woman ovulates and the egg is fertilized, the pill prevents implantation. According to the Catholic Church, that's abortion. But no one seems to want to stop women from using the pill, except the Catholic Church.

I don't mind pointing out that a man who has sex with a woman and then has nothing more to do with her may be responsible, morally, for an abortion. That's my opinion.

These are fairly tough opinions, and I am not afraid to handle any criticism that they cause. I've been criticised by feminists, by my fellow Catholics, and so on and so forth. In my own heart, I think I am pretty much in line with the general American view on the topic.
