Excuse me Clay, I don't want to appear insistent
but you must show me exactly the link where MCI
states that it, and not LU was partially responsible for the black out.
I haven't seen any.
There hasn't been any

Even your last link, only shows that MCI
is backing away

i.e. they are not insisting , advertising it or making an issue of it.
i.e. they are no longer pointing fingers, that's all.

MCI WorldCom CEO Bernard Ebbers had

appeared to blame Lucent
shortly after the August outage
but company
officials have been backing away
from that statement ever since.

And it is clear why.
They are now to deep in the quicksand to get out.
Might as well put a smiling face to it.

Wouldn't be surprised at all, when NN teams up with Big Kahuna,
that MCI will say to LU,
" adios pardner, good to have met you; see ya later alligator,"

" Helllooooo NN!!!! how are you?????? "

Win-Lose-Draw,

Since certain people on this thread live in perpetual denial of reality, I suggest you read the article I reposted instead of relying on these guys for information. Also,
there is an additional post on the LU thread that speaks to these issues:

1. Brownout was not caused by LU software and it appears that WCOM has owned up to this.
2. WCOM is building another LU FR network based on the GBX-550 ATM switch.

Essentially, the entire episode may be removed from the deck of cards except that LU now has additional ATM business from WCOM.
