From personal experience I totally agree. Short sighted monopolistic behavior by the RBOCs. They don't know how to ooperate in a free market and they will pay dearly for their shortsightedness.

Don't know if the above is true, no matter.

It should be true because your second statement is very true.

In addition, the ILECs should not have teamed up with gorilla cry baby AOL in an attempt to slow down the cable competition. If the ILEC's would have fought regulation on their own turf instead of teaming with AOL, I might have had a small amount of sympathy for them. On the other hand, the ILEC's have been milking us through their copper for long enough, they deserve regulation <:}. The ILEC's truly have no one to blame other than themselves.
