Thanks a lot for your great recon <g>

It is the same in canada, only the cheaper TV's have it, the more expensive ones like sony do not...

I will not byt GMST at this time, a very unimpressive performance by GMST and it's marketing/promotion effort

take care
Jean

ps: does anyone know if sony and hitachi are due out with guide plus units.

i live in south florida.
i bought a sony 35" with guideplus a coupla weeks ago at sound advice. all of their salesmen are up to speed on gem.
the delivery guys set it up and explained it all to me. they were up to speed as well.

the sears store at gardens mall, in palm beach gardens, has several brands with guideplus. they leave several sets on tuned to the guide.
salesman there told me that folks who know what the guide is...will not buy anything else.

stopped in several stores in west palm beach area including circuit city. they all had guideplus units except for best buy. salesman there told me they are coming very soon. he knew all about gem and wanted one for his home.

my son lives in north carolina...he has had the guide for a few months...his teen-age boys love it. it is intuitive to them. that convinced me.
