Remember Lenny in this market one does not need earnings or revenue growth! In fact, it is a liability. This paradoxical fact accounts for CPQ price action. <LOL>

Lenny - I am always bullish on DELL but in comparison to many on this thread, might appear less than aggressive - kind of like a 6 foot 4 inch guy who wanders into the Lakers' locker room and feels like a "short guy"...

Putting it in perspective, my option plays on DELL, combined with the change in the underlying, leave me up about 20% on the year. My option plays on CPQ, combined with the change in the underlying, leave me down about 10% on the year.

But interestingly enough, last week's action made CPQ my largest holding again, just edging out DELL in my portfolio.

CPQ and DELL are clearly the leaders among the computer vendors (not talking about SUNW, which I held from 1991 until 1995, then sold because "it wasn't going anywhere" - so I'm ignoring SUNW, just too painful). I think both of these companies will show good appreciation from their current levels over the next 12 to 18 months, perhaps 30%. Not the rocket performance of the past, but just fine given their underlying strength. I plan to increase my return through careful option plays where I can.
