These companies stock values are based on the future of the Optics market.... 160 Billion plus...is, IMHO conservative. (but yes, it is obsurd to some extent - not all these start-ups will succeed, there will be some grave failures)

We are under water still, looking up at an enormous iceberg that would make the one the Titanic hit look like a mosquito. Cisco is at the forefront.

Look at the areas of the world that are wired....then those that aren't. Compare the populations.. it is literally staggering.

We are entering an era of 'ultra-properity', fueled by as Chambers puts it "the industrial revolution of the century"... difference is...this is on a much, much larger scale... and its fueling everything else in life that has already been created.

Cerent will prove to be the best acquistion Cisco ever made. I'll bet my shares on it.

Lerxst, I can also say as fact that the CSCO facilities in the Northeast are also suddenly bleeding engineers that have been long term employees. Brian
