Jim, good points about shelf space and a booming industry. I've seen expansion in the TRU, CompUSA and Target game sections too. You know, a year ago a "B" title like Road Rash or Motocross might've had a 50/50 change of making it at CompUSA. Now it's easy. The reason you saw Wrestlemania GBC but not the N64 is that the GBC version shipped two days earlier. Also, the N64 version will have a higher velocity of sales as the older kids and adults are more able to buy right away whereas Gameboy owners usually have to have the games purchased for them. That's kind of the same reason why Revenge took off from the first last year but Rugrats sold steadily for half a year. I'm pleased to see big quantities of Rugrats in the checks--last year THQ suffered from RR sellouts, especially on the GBC side To top this off, we still have new games a comin'. Our Star Wars game hasn't come out yet. We have three more N64 games in the next 5-10 days. The Toy Story 2 movie hasn't even been released yet, so imagine how the gameboy sales will start exploding soon. And expect absolute monster sales of Rugrats Search for Reptar as a $19.99 value title--that's all gravy at this point. Plus, Sony cuts the manufacturing fee on those games. Sigmund, this is your third (?) THQ Christmas and you still don't know how THQ handles initial shipments and reorders? <<ggg>> These sellouts mean nothing except that demand is great. These stores have central warehouses with more games arriving there all the time. When you have a million games to ship, it probably takes some time getting them all out. THQ knows what it is doing here. Look how well it handled NWO/Revenge last year at this time. I think you had the line of the day though: (Rubinelli to ERTs for Chanos and a draft pick.) Not only is the video business booming, but so is the popularity of THQ's licenses--WWF and Rugrats stuff is everywhere, Tiger Woods is having a great year, I think NFL ratings are up, NBA ratings have to be up, Fox even showed a Bass fishing tournament. Oh, and there was a little movie called The Phantom Menace this year too. Marc
