Cheeky, (OT)

Obviously an area with which you are familiar. Collision Shop is the jewel that has served us so well, but Mitchell also bought and dumped a much grander program called A.R.M.S. We did use Mitchell's DOS estimating program for over a year, which was neat in that it used bar codes. But CCC tied up all the insurance companies in our neck of the woods so we migrated. Against our will. CCC charges a great deal for their estimating and digital photography software and just confirmed that their DOS version will be totally replaced by their Windows package, Pathways, effective January 1. We had planned to employ it, anyway, despite its lethargy. However they don't have an integrated management package for the smaller shops.

Another facet of this problem is the learning curve. We fight having to retrain people unnecessarily. After all we were early adopters in order to enhance speed and accuracy.
We don't want to shoot ourselves in the foot, here.

Not to whine, but this is stressful.
