<P.S By the way Swami , i would like to know what happened with Schwab lately that has turned you off them>

I found Schwab to be the best broker. The reason i have not traded with them for a while is because all my money usually sits in a few bank accounts in Scotia and i move it from bank account to Scotia discount account quite frequently. I leverage a lot specially for more than 100K trades for in and out Wam bang thank you Mam daytrades. My Line of Credit with Scotia will allow me to buy from my bank LOC whereas Schwab i have to write a cheque and the excess cash after selling sits with them earning less than my Line of Credit (prime)about 3.5 % less. AND to get money out of brokerage accounts is a hassle. So you see it is strictly my situation. Last cheque that Schwabb cut for me took 12 days before getting deposited into my scotia account.

Scotia has specifically not included Schwab in their Bill payment payees on the Web for obvious competitive reasons. TD you can BILL pay into E*Trade as a payee on the net. Now if Schwab could pay me around prime-1-2 on my cash balance or they could trade from my Scotia bank account i will trade every day thru Schwab. My commisions for July were $3500 so no one will loose money . Does anyone know any broker who can link directly to your bank account? Even TD it takes TWO days if you deposit into your brokerage account at an ATM or transfer on the net banking!! How is that explained in this day and age ?? TD obviously has the use of your money for two-three business days it can add up. No wonder they made 1.5 billion last year. Any way I am holding a large chunk of TD stock these days from 29-32 dollars so i am not complaining...

Sorry about the Diatribe
Best Regards
the Swami

PS I wonder who Chief uses for his telephone trades he seems to get quite quick executions. e.g MCF on Thursday he cought it at 5.95 before i could blink...i seem to remember asking him about in a pm and he did not respond. Probably does not want his telephone lines clogged down by daytraders<ggg> smart man..

the only thing I was trying to point out VS was that it might be roughly 70.00
roundtrip @ Schwab , might as well be the same price at TD also yet Schwab you
get better execution. Swami's statement was still not really accurate.
It made it sound like it could be 140.00 roundtrip.

It is slightly higher for larger dollar values, as you point out.
Still sucks compared to our US counterparts, I can live with it
as long as I get real service ;o)

Schwab's commisions are not better in ALL trades. eg 1000 shares @$70
you will pay $50(with $550/ month pcquots) vs $29 at TD.

Gee... looks like I missed a fun week.... between MCF, NT, NNC, COR, etc. there sure was lots of action!!! I didn't pick up a paper once while I was away, but have uttered more than a few "ooh....ahhhhs!!!" this morning while I was getting caught up. Oh well.... I had a great time and am raring to get at it again!!!

I did ask you guys not to take all the profit out of the market while I was gone but it sure looks like everyone was greedy!!!! You could have at least waited a couple days for me to get back before you bumped up MCF!!!

Was sitting on MCF, ECG and GEM while I was away ... yeah!!! Also sat on some DMX ... booo!!! Gains offset losses by about 2 to 1 as of right now on paper though so I'm pretty happy with what happened considering I didn't do a single thing <ggggG>!!!!

The nanos have just caught up on last week.... the market is now well ahead of the nanos which is consistent with an up trend... and there hasn't been any sign of the 150 point spread needed to indicate a reversal.... furthermore, the market would have to drop 230 points right now for that to happen.... which while possible seems unlikely. Anyhow, the nanos are telling me that I haven't missed out on all the opps while I was gone.....

Still... looking at the prices of things right now makes me a bit uncomfortable .... may try and take a few profits early on and then jump back in as I get a better sense of where the MOMO is and which direction individual stocks are heading.... hmmmmm.......

In any event, life is good... got a good tan, another 10 dives under my belt and my bottle of Tortuga rum!! Grand Cayman is definitely my favourite island by a long shot... although I must admit that it is up there in terms of cost!!! The nanos had a great time too... so I promised them that if they did a really good job for the next 4 or 5 months that I'd take them back.... I think they've developed an addiction to Pina Coladas!!!!- LOL.

Chief... I couldn't find any hot sauces that would work well on crow.... I guess we'll just have to keep using Heinz!!! <gggg>
